Over 20 years ago, Mr. N.Sivanathan quite literally stumbled into the business of packing materials. But, seeing the demand for packing materials in Tamil Nadu and other states, he hit upon a new business idea. “I realized if I improve the quality of Packing Material with low cost, which nobody even tried back then, I could generate a business out of this,” he said.
He started to pursue his dream, to start his own factory with own brand of self adhesive tapes with low cost for the abundant Industrial Market. In 1996 he started a small 10 by 10 retail store in Coimbatore only selling packing materials to create a touch point with customers. In 2011 I started a small slitting unit and created my own “PENQUIN BRAND“ self adhesive tapes. Extended the factory to state of the art coating and slitting unit in 2012. All the way his business concept was simple “high quality with low cost and good service to customer.
Today “PENQUIN“ self adhesive tapes has became the top selling brand in India, catering to both Industrial and Retail Market across India with state of the art 24×7 Production facility, serving more than 500 companies and 200 dealers across India with a production capacity of more than 10,000 carton per month.
